North Korea says COVID-19 wave under control
North Korea (MNN) — In Mid-May, North Korean officials acknowledged COVID-19 cases in the country for the first time since the pandemic began in 2020. But on Tuesday, authorities reported no new deaths and a downward trend in cases. Eric Foley with The Voice of the Martyrs Korea cites a headline from state-run North Korean media.
Has COVID-19 been in North Korea since early 2020 when it swept across the globe? Probably, but it’s hard to know the details, Foley says. Meanwhile, over the years many North Koreans have seen God heal people of sickness or injuries. Pray the Church will continue to grow, and that the name of Jesus will be glorified.
