Immigration records show the woman arrested over the murders arrived in Korea in July 2018. Seoul’s National Police Agency confirmed the woman arrested was accused of murdering her two children, but NZ Police have still not clarified this.

Overseas visitor arrivals are people who live overseas who are travelling to New Zealand for a stay of less than 12 months. Although Auckland Airport had by far the most overseas visitors in September (92,421), this was only half of what the airport had in September 2019.

The world’s most powerful passport in 2023 revealed

For a fifth year in a row Japan has been crowned the world’s most powerful passport, with 193 countries granting visa free travel or visa on arrival to holders. China, which eased pandemic travel restrictions for citizens only this week, has also climbed in the ranks for 2023. Having tumbled from 67th to 72nd in 2020, China has climbed to 66th most powerful passport, gaining visa free travel with five new countries. New Zealand has moved little since 2020, but retains its value in the top 10 most powerful passports. Climbing five places to 36th and gaining visa free access to 15 additional countries visa free since 2020.
