Two questions will spring to mind as you leave the ebulliently history-light kicky girl-power fabulousness that is Six, now playing at the Hobby Center. So few songs to explain almost 40 years of Tudor history, it makes Sparks Notes seem like dense text. Zan Berube as Anne Boleyn lols and sorry not sorry's her way through her song in perfectly hysterical Paris Hilton fashion. Take note history buffs, Henry VII has been officially unfriended, may the wives' memory be a kick-ass blessing. Six continues through November 20 at the Hobby Center, 800 Bagby.22 days ago Houston Press

A US B-1B strategic bomber will take part in the ongoing joint aerial war games with South Korea, a military official in Seoul has said, hailing the move as a show of force against Pyongyang’s retaliatory missile launches. The so-called show of force came a day after South Korea scrambled its warplanes in response to what it claimed was the mobilization of 180 North Korean jet fighters. The US and South Korea have also warned that the series of launches could culminate in a nuclear test by Pyongyang, and extended their largest-ever aerial war games to Saturday in response. Washington further went to the United Nations Security Council on Friday to censure China and Russia for having “enabled” North Korea. US Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield also rejected criticism of her country’s joint war games with South Korea as a “propaganda” effort by Pyongyang, claiming that they posed no threat to other nations.26 days ago Press TV
The United States and South Korea have kicked off large-scale five-day joint aerial drills with hundreds of warplanes staging mock attacks round the clock amid growing tensions with North Korea. To protest and retaliate against recent massive war games conducted jointly by American, South Korean and Japanese forces, Pyongyang has launched missile tests, conducted aerial drills, and fired artillery shells into the sea. The military drills began just days after US and South Korean forces concluded their 12-day Hoguk war games on Friday that included 22 field exercises, featuring mock amphibious landings and river crossings. North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs) off the east coast of the Korean Peninsula on Friday in response to the Hoguk military drills. Pyongyang justified the missile tests as a "countermeasure" against the joint US-South Korea war games, with North Korean state media publishing statements from the military condemning the "enemy's war drills" and demanding them to be halted.1 month ago Press TV
