Which brings up a bigger issue, why can’t the Government articulate a clear vision of what they want out of immigration? Perhaps it is because they can’t articulate a clear vision of what they want New Zealand’s economy to look like after all of this. The immigration reverse was necessary because the Government never really articulated what they wanted New Zealand's economy to look like, beyond one where everyone somehow earned a “high wage”.
