Exeter’s Takeout Station is not your average fast-food joint: Good eats with a twistEXETER — Chef Brian Colford is handing out a little bit of downtown dining through the window of his new walkup joint, the Takeout Station. Cargill of Lexie’s to open the Takeout Station. Takeout Station chef partnering with owner of Lexie'sColford has no culinary degree, having originally gone to school to work as an electrician. Colford said originally the takeout restaurant was going to be named Baggage and Freight to recognize the building’s history. They settled on the Takeout Station, which they thought sounded a little nicer while still incorporating the train element.
