Nigeria cannot therefore dream of hosting the World Cup at the senior level. The competition for hosting the World Cup is fierce because it is the biggest football event in the world.

The North Korean air force also conducted a “large-scale all-out combat sortie operation”, involving 500 planes, according to KCNA. US-South Korea joint drills have long sparked strong reactions from North Korea, which sees them as rehearsals for an invasion.

The UK will also require a pre-departure negative COVID-19 test from passengers from China as of January 5, the Department of Health said on Friday. Those travelling from China to Australia will need to submit a negative COVID-19 test from January 5, Australian Health Minister Mark Butler said on Sunday. India has also mandated a COVID-19 negative report for travellers arriving from China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and Thailand. Japan requires a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival for travellers from mainland China.
